Is career coaching for women different? In the 15 years I’ve been coaching, I have learned that it REALLY IS!
— and, my apologies in advance if these seem stereotypical – there is unfortunately also truth in them, so I’m not going to stay quiet about them.

Women don’t easily own their brilliance: Women think their skills and capabilities are located in the organisation or the walls of the building they work in. ‘Pride before a fall’ still plays a significant part in their beliefs. Standing in their power can feel risky for a multitude of past and present reasons.

Women expect to have multiple roles both inside and outside of work. Then they wonder why they can’t seem to do any of them as well as they want to.
Career Coaching for Women
Women are on the receiving end of a series of judgments that may not be thrown at men: if they are confident, then they are ‘bossy’ or ‘aggressive’ or ‘arrogant ’, countered by ‘insecure’ if they are shy. It’s Lose-lose!

…. And, these are just a few of my favourite things … as to why women do not progress professionally as swiftly as men.
