I hold a very valuable thing

I just realised that In my hands, or rather the folder they hold, I carry perhaps the most valuable thing there is, I carry another human’s dream.

The work clients and I do together is tough. We nudge and shove and laugh and encourage each other right to the outer reaches of our comfort zone and right to the edges of the career landscape, urging each other right to the very summit of the possibilities, at which point, we turn right around and see the beauty of the terrain laid out before us.

This is the reward. This is authentic, raw, breathless, exhausted and exhilarated potential. From this vantage point informed decisions can be made. 

And every single time a question arises or a quandary needs solving, this vision, even once you have descended, will serve as the measure by which your choice is made.

It’s a valuable thing to have the security of knowing exactly what direction your compass needle points in.
