These people are intelligent, way more intelligent than they take ownership of.
They are skilled, capable, knowledgeable, and this means that for years they have been hijacked to support the dreams of others.
These people are so adaptable, capable; they can turn their hand to just about anything.
— Need something fixed, organised, popularised, sold in great quantity…
— Need a networker, a marketer, a problem solver, an ops manager, a systems-thinker … These are your people . . .
Thus, by the time these clients get to me that have often lost their sense of direction. They have dreamt of being purpose-led.
And they have spent years abandoning their own dreams to nourish those of others.
This habit, in the long run, is corrosive. The short-term win of being “irreplaceable” to others will have taken its toll. These talented chameleons can entirely lose sight their professional identity.
