Job Change Steps

Job Change After Mortgage:It is probably fair to say that if we change one part of our lives then this will impact on another. If you get a mortgage, you may need to change your job. If you choose a job change, you may need to attend to your life order to accommodate that. It’s Descarte’s fault. He reduced all things into their separate parts, and, in that process, we lost the knowing that they are all still interconnected.  We are joined up human beings and each facet of our lives has impact on all the others. How we feel physically affects how we think. Where we live affects our wellbeing. The work we do impacts our personal lives. In this manner, any job change will affect our homes, our families and our friends too.

In service of trying to foster some sense of security, I became one of the great ‘planners’ of our time. I learnt my list-making from my father, and I believed that this was what grown-ups did to make things happen. What has struck me (repeatedly!), is that however clear i am about my goals, however determined i am to me make it to the end-game, That. Is. Just. Not. What. Happens.

So let us hold these changes in balance. Let us not deny that that will be unexpected, and possibly even joyous surprises within any change. Also let us not deny ourselves the change of making them for fear of what might happen. It’s all too easy to stay stuck out of fear, when life or work could be SO much easier if we attended to making the changes. Job change after mortgage, after family, or in search of more joyous working experiences, is perfectly possible, take step by simple step.
