Gratitude

The world is a much nicer place if we can hold it gently and with gratitude. It is also SO much easier for us to do our best for our careers, our families and our Colleagues when we come from a place of appreciation.

This was brought to my attention only today, when a distressed friend came to seek solace regarding her relationship. Our conversation left me feeling really grateful for my current circumstances.

So how can we maintain gratitude? Yes, the outside world can intervene and nudge us, but on the whole it’s about practise. That was not the easy answer you wanted was it? Practise however does not have to be so hard. Establish a routine and practise slots right in. 

List 5 things you were glad of each night & you’ll be amazed at the different light it shines on that day. Set a mindfulness bell and randomly find something beautiful in your immediate environment & swiftly you will be glad to be alive….These are simple tricks but they are profound and their effects ripple out way beyond expectations…..
