You Cannot Give Away What You Haven’t Got!

I am not a patient patient! & Ten days of Ill-health have taught me a little about taking a deep breath and have a little faith and trust in the universe and in business whilst I heal.
Predictably beautifully, January has brought career coaching business rolling into my inbox, and, it has been important for me to remember that I do not work for the emergency services…… If people are in dire trouble they will call 999. If they are dissatisfied with their career they will usually be able to wait for a week or two before we meet to explore the possibilities.
There has been a softness that has been brought to my life, my work and my clients as a result of this recovery. A knowledge that I cannot give away what I haven’t got. If I am unwell then I haven’t got a hope in hell of enabling others to find their professional alignment! That I don’t have to give 110% all the time to be good enough. That keeping clients informed, and thus them knowing that I am on-side, has been plenty to reassure them that something will happen.
Also I have been reminded of the importance of asking for, and indeed of accepting, help. I have had THE Best support from a fellow practitioner. I have been reminded that no other human can read my mind and I need to ask if I need something. I have been reminded that I am loved and ‘held’ in my relationship, my family, my friends. I have been reminded that no amount of ‘shoving’ would make this pass any the faster….
So I have been coached and nudged into remembering that healing takes place ‘in relationship’ and that I can trust and allow the process a little. All the above make me a better coach & perhaps a kinder human & business woman ……
