Career Coaching for Women
Career coaching for women is a particular strength of mine. And, not just because I am a CIS woman, but because I have been career coaching women for a very, very long time.
Over the last decade and a half, I have witnessed numerous changes in equality and gender issues within the workplace. And, Inequality IS still rife, let’s not deny that. And, it’s often in a more covert and subtle form that makes it even more difficult to challenge.
The bit we DO have control of that still needs to change is how women view ourselves from the inside.
And we do view ourselves very, very differently, and that can make a big difference between the two main genders when it comes to career progression.

And that automatically gives men a head start. I see this here in my coaching spaces. Men are willing to say “I know how to do about half of that” and apply, knowing they will learn the rest on the job.

If women are waiting until they know 100% of the job spec, then they will apply later, or never apply at all.
Career Coaching for Women
And that has a MASSIVE impact on promotion, career progression, and income — and, when it comes down to it. What are we all working for if it’s not partially the bloody money!

So, a big part of my job in career coaching women lies in challenging women’s self-perceptions and indeed the beliefs they hold that are obstructing their professional progress.

Not only do women deserve to be respected, rewarded and rightly remunerated for what they bring. What we seem to forget is that The Business World also REALLY needs our brilliance if it is to survive the tricky times that the environment and politics are bringing to it too.
