Career Coaching: How to
Career Coaching: How to? — The answer to that question is more straightforward AND more complex than you would ever imagine
.
” … when people have outgrown their current role or industry sector, rather than success, these humans often begin to feel that they are failing.”
Straighforward because the process is entirely client-led. More complex in that setting up the container and bringing true presence to this work takes a lot of nuance.
By client-led, I mean this: it doesn’t matter what industry sector, what niche language, what status, or business structures you come from, this coach can support you. Likewise, it also doesn’t matter to me what industry sector you are headed for — that’s your business.
This is why clients come to work with me. These humans often want out of their current circumstances and need a career coach who can accommodate cross-sector changes. What they do NOT need is an industry-specific coach who has no idea how to support this deeper kind of transition.
Career Coaching: How to
These clients were committed to their sector. Now, however, they have outgrown what that sector can provide. Bizarrely, when people have outgrown their current role or industry sector, rather than success, these humans often begin to feel that they are failing. These people are unable to move on. Equally, these people can no longer stay where they are because they can see all too clearly what is not working. What they do not yet have the power to make those systems and processes work well.
Stay too long in this situation and confidence begins to fall.
Once they lose their confidence they begin to believe in their impotence. — Immerse yourself in that for too long and it becomes very difficult to confidently move onwards or upwards.
So, if you feel you are failing, it might be that the opposite is true – you might actually be trapped between a rock and a hard place, and it’s become all too clear what is not working, AND you are unable to rectify it.
This is a sign of growth that needs capitalising on swiftly before the frustration, and the negative bias of your own brain brings you down.
