So Which is the Bit You Most Want to Change?
I begin this blog with a warning.
“Don’t try and change everything.”
Why do I say this? Because of bitter experience!
After festive excesses I make a million pledges as I groan over my stuffed stomach and worry over my empty bank account.
I resolve to eat less, earn more, be grateful for what I have (!). I yearn to be fitter, get promoted, learn to tango and be more mindful. I pledge to tackle the garden, be a better friend and focus more on my family than my business…….. And all of this in January of 2016!
Already I can see the cracks appearing. As i write this I can feel panic rising and the district possibility that even if I begin three quarters of these projects, I may yet complete none!
So my guidance for 2016? Change one thing. Changing old habits takes time. Changing old habits takes persistence. Changing old habits takes focus & it is really difficult to focus when you have set yourself too many things to focus on….
Simply put; choose you change, set your goal, work your way steadily purposefully towards it. It is much more satisfying to achieve one thing fully than flunk them all….
