You Can Learn To Do ANYTHING…..

…. once you know it’s purpose. Never did I imagine I would want to know anything about coding a website. I feel I wear quite enough different ‘hats’ during every single day. I assumed I would farm this chunk of work out to an expert and have them do it on my behalf. And once again I assumed incorrectly……

Because the work I have chosen to do is a core part of me. Because I am passionate about my purpose, it turns out they I am also very passionate about how this is communicated out into the world.  A majority of my clients are gained either by personal recommendation or via an approach by those who have known me in another professional capacity across that last 25 years.

This means this business is personal. It means this work is based in the depth of relationship I have with each individual. Whilst i will always be boundaried with professional ethics and contracts, it is nevertheless, absolutely and totally rooted in the trust that grows from the honesty that is proffered on both sides.

So this is why I am learning to build my own website. It is because I know the essence of what I wish to convey and why I wish to communicate this. I lead this process, I may as well learn take the reigns myself …… Thus I find I anm unable to pass this work to someone else to do on my behalf, but have chosen instead to acquire the expertise of someone who does know the territory to journey with me. Employing Ukeydesign to walk alongside me allows me to explore the parameters of WordPress in my own way.

Knowing what I want to do and why I want to do it has brought me to learn all sorts of things I believed only ‘others’ did. Double-entry book keeping, business planning, website coding, risking asking guidance from individuals and organisations with far more seniority than me ….. So much asking and learning and really if I am to coach and encourage my clients to take their own risks in their careers, then I really must walk the walk I talk!
