Career Coach ADHD: We are a neurodivergent household…

Our 15-year-old has long been diagnosed as autistic… However, across the last decade, every single member of this domestic environment has been diagnosed as ADHD too. And as soon as I began to even suspect my neurodivergence, I began to look around my client base… just wondering? To witness many of them self-identifying and integrating their strengths into their lives and their work.

Zooming out now, it seems utterly obvious that these humans were bringing their atypical brilliance — I just didn’t know it had a name. When even my VA identified as ADHD, I knew any pretence was up!  These humans I was supporting were obviously “hunters” as opposed to neurotypical “farmers”.

These human are innovators, disruptors, and swift problem-solvers. They are systems thinkers, and often have very low boredom thresholds… Full of passion and hyperfocus, these people make brilliant entrepreneurs and change-makers. — Many a new business has been birthed with the encouragement of daemon career coach. And likewise, plenty of traditional structures have been up-ended and revamped for the good.

— Everything that isn’t fast-moving, intense or fascinating! That’s when we need to hire others. Disabuse yourself of the belief that every business owner does everything in their enterprise. Admit the bits you hate and gather people who ENJOY doing them. — It WILL save your sanity and your business.

— Self-perception – every brilliant neurodivergent human I have worked with believes that anybody CAN DO what they can do… It’s SO not true: SO, we will spend a LOT of time identifying, harnessing and instilling within YOU the belief that your skills, personal attributes and knowledge are absolutely unique.

And once you really “Know” this and can embody it, you will have the confidence to follow through on the thing that you are on this planet to do …
