How Do You Value Transformation?
Career coach hourly rate? I don’t charge a career coach hourly rate. That is because, you unless we have a pre-existing relationship, only the smallest increments of changes can be made within an hour. If you’ve reached the stage of considering hiring a career coach, then my guess is that you’re hoping for (or even needing), a fundamental shift of some kind. A fundamental shift is gonna need a fundamental chunk of commitment from both you and your coach.
I rarely contract for fewer than 6 coaching sessions. Why is that? It is because, in my 8 years of experience of coaching provision, it is around session 3 that the real shift begins. This shift begins because we have put in the time and work to gain a really good understanding of the current circumstances, only then can we know what it really is that needs to shift. Once it shifts, we then spend the next three sessions reassembling your career around this undoing. We take the time to reorganise all the elements in the right way in order that they will take you forward to the place that you have identified you want to be.
Career coach hourly rate?
That is why I do not charge an hourly rate, it is because you are not hiring a coach for an hour. What you are engaging with is a coach who will accompany you on your journey. A coach who will help you tease out the difficulties. A who is present even in between coaching sessions to support you in your “undoing”. A coach who will assist you in your reassembling of your professional self and who will document the whole process. This way you have a record if your journey and what informed your decisions so that you can take those away with you. You are hiring a coach who will then help you to develop your five or ten-year career plan. And a coach who will build in the accountability that will ensure it happens…

Fundamental professional growth doesn’t happen within an hour, it happens with the relationship between Coach and Coachee and it is held by time.
