Questions, Questions and More Questions!

The career coach questionnaire is the primary tool of any coach. In fact, The entire coaching process is built on the asking of questions. These questions will be asked in a variety of ways.

Face to face coaching will involve a multitude of questions being put to you verbally. There will be questions put to you via email or text. There will be a wide variety of questions put to you via the appropriate coaching interventions drawn from the previous 2000 years of understanding of human psychology. Now you’d be correct in wondering what’s the point in all these questions???!!! It is this:  The right questions, asked in the right way are fundamental in establishing our shared understanding of your journey through your professional development. Gaining this mutual understanding provides the platform for us to move forward together to co-create your professional future. This targeted exchange of information helps me see the world from your perspective. This exchange of information will also help you see, refine and choose your new perspective on your world.

Are all these questions tiring? Yes! Absolutely it is tiring to really focus in on the things you may have been ignoring. It is absolutely tiring to dig deep in order to identify what really matters to you in life and work.

And the rewards? Well, they far outweigh the cost. The exchanges that take place within this work, rate realisations, and ah-ha moments flow thick and fast once we have established the basics. The joy of being really seen and heard. The laughter of self-recognition. The sheer joy of taking charge and designing the next bit your own way, that is WAY worth the time-cost of the work. Both coach and client leave these sessions uplifted and hopeful for ‘The Next Bit’.  This work is very energising.
