Career Coaching Exercises
One of the most potent Career Coaching Exercises I use concerns your “Capabilities”.
Make a list. In fact make THREE lists:
Make a list of your Skills to the tune of 40 (yes FORTY!)
Make a list of your Personal Attributes – make it 40 again
Make a list of your ‘Knowledge’: those things you know you care about as well as those subjects you have had to learn for work or life.
Then, find someone who holds you in good heart and ask them to read them back to you.
Why? Because this 120 words comprises the immense human being you are — And you deserve to really SEE, HEAR and FEEL that.
Career Coaching Exercises
When you begin to take ownership of all that you bring, it becomes much easier to show up in the professional places you want to be.
and, if you’re anything like me, your professional value will be easily swayed by a bad nights sleep or before-lunch hunger-pangs.
This way THE FULL YOU is in black and white on the page and thus cannot be argued with.
This way is the way to show up congruent – you can literally copy and paste this information into applications and interview situations without batting an eyelid. This is one way of gaining the confidence to go for exactly the career path way you want because you know your strengths and you know your value.

It’s not the easiest exercise BUT, it is VERY POWERFUL
