Career Coaching Matters – and you would expect me to say those words: Career coaching is what I do, and that would be pointless if I didn’t think it mattered!

WHY does it matter, though?
My career coaching identity grew out of my own professional disasters. I had to learn the hard way why career coaching has potency.

I never set out to be a career coach, it was the clients that cornered me in that place:
Why? Because they (WE!) ALL had one thing in common — We were a bunch of extremely competent beings whose capabilities kept getting hijacked for other people’s visions.
Career Coaching Matters
All of us had forgotten to ask what WE wanted. What we were experts at was being The Chameleon and supporting others in their endeavours.
And, the longer we did it, the more our confidence fell. The more we performed for others the more unhappy we became. Thirdly the more we met the needs of others, the less we were able to hear ourselves.

Powerful, corrosive and disabling, leaving us confused, impotent and worst of all – STUCK!

So, what’s the remedy for this sickness — it is merely to take a little time to hear what it is that YOU want.
It’s a hard hard it to break, when you have spent years, if not decades, learning how to read and meet the needs of others.

How would it be to devote three months to turning your own brilliance on yourself. — Then you could make professional decisions based on YOUR needs and QUIT fullfillng the dreams of others.
