Career Coach – Worth It?
Is a Career Coach Worth It?
.
The answer to that question depends on two things:
A career coach is worth the investment when You find the coach You need.
A career coach is worth the time and money when YOU choose to commit to the work.
.
“That’s when A career coach is worth your time and money – it’s when You bring YOU to the process.”
I had two assessment sessions for potential new clients last week, and I really noticed something.
After the first hour with a human, I was absolutely exhausted. After the second hour with a different human, HE was the really tired one. And that’s the way it’s supposed to be … I’ll explain:
Career Coach – Worth It?
With the first coachee, the reason I was tired was that I had been DOING ALL THE WORK. – He wasn’t ready to be coached.
With the second coachee, HE DID ALL THE WORK. He was ready to do the deep dive and explore what he was bringing.
The first coachee didn’t commit to continuing to work together. The second client has committed to the coaching journey and he will be the one who will reap the rewards.
.
He’s ready; he’s got 15 years of professional expertise to capitalise on.
And so that’s what we will do – we will meet and gather all those experiences of his and use them to fuel the next decade of his career.
.
Bespoke stuff this, and it only works when YOU grant power to it. Bring Your commitment and Your real self, and all kinds of magic will grow from that place.
That’s when A career coach is worth your time and money – it’s when You bring YOU to the process.
