One of things I ADORE about working here in this city is that customers have high standards. Bristol people are truly eclectic AND they really will not tolerate any nonsense: If you show up with a vision, and a radically new way of doing things — “It” HAS to do what it says on the tin or you’ll be boycotted very swiftly.

This has been a very traditional city in the past — built on the The Patriarchy: Firstly, on the abuse of colonialism and the slave trade. And then in the 90s it invited MORE patriarchy, in the form of Banking to enter its city walls.

These days, there’s a kick back against ALL of this “tradition’.
There is still ‘privilege’ (masses of it!). However, voters are choosing to use it ethically and with 25 Green counsellors in the city, that’s a majority!

The citizens of this city will not accept tat. They WILL however support businesses and visionaries who are genuinely innovative and trying to do things differently and well.
