Career Objective Meaning

Career objective meaning:Your career objective has to have real meaning. If you feel you have a real passion or purpose then it is your responsibility to honour that. It IS a real thing! However much you are told ‘you cannot make a living from that’ or ‘that’s not how it works’, learn to protect yourself, over-ride the nay-Sayers and hold the faith.

Just because others cannot see the vision that you can see, does not mean that it doesn’t exist. Just because people might be uncomfortable with your questions does not mean they should not be asked. Just because people are frightened of having the conversations, does not mean that the subject should be avoided. Just because people do not join the dots as fast as you do, does not mean the pattern is not there. Just because your idea, passion or business start-up is not yet tangible with the five senses, does not mean that it cannot be so. it is precisely these things that will give your career objective meaning.

In my experience the trick is to surround yourself with people who hold you in good heart. These individuals do not need to be able to see your vision or indeed share it with you, but, it is really important that they have trust in you. Tell only those you trust your idea. When We have a new and vulnerable proposition it is important to protect that too. Those of us who have vision, are also sensitive to criticism: if you consider the ‘newness’ in a different context, you wouldn’t leave new seedlings outside in the frost because they would die. It is the same with new business ideas. Treat these visions with kindness and patience (!) and they will flourish. They will take on a life of their own. The other tip is to nourish yourself. Whilst there are no tangible results in the outside world it is easy to fall into the trap that we are not doing anything. Usually the exact opposite is true. Usually we are working incredibly hard to make it work and usually we have no immediate reward. It is easy to believe that we will never make manifest and then we become depleted. If you become depleted then you will sabotage your vision. Attend to yourself and your vision with real tenderness and just see what grows from this.

It’s hard to hold the faith when everyone seems to be telling you that ‘what you hold’ dear is not real. If you give your career objective meaning, it will become real and this will translate in the world.
