Entrepreneurial Generosity

It doesn’t matter how bright you are or how very astute your ideas, if you do not share them then they have no value. This is a bold statement, but, hundreds of thousands of words, in an unpublished book, are silent. The best entrepreneurial notion, left trapped inside a brain, will have no impact whatsoever in the real world.
It takes real courage to share these things we hold so dear, outside of ourselves. When we externalise them we risk other’s opinions, we risk failure, we risk the collision of reality and theory not becoming what we expected.
What we also risk is that in letting them go, we might just allow them to gain their very own identity and gain their own momentum out in the world. This is the generosity that affects change. This is akin to the droplet which, when released into a bigger body of water, sends ripples far beyond that which we ever imagined.
Whilst our brilliant ideas remain inside they might be safe, but they are also rendered entirely impotent.
