The Clearest Transactions

“If you don’t Ask, you don’t Get!” 

is a phrase I remember from my childhood. As A Yorkshire lass I cannot abide feeling like I am being manipulated. I would much rather, if someone wants or needs something from me, that they simply ask.
This might be a bit straightforward and northern of me, but equally I don’t expect others to second-guess me either. If anyone could work out exactly what was going on in my mind I would be very grateful… but until that moment (& I have realised that may be a long time away!), it is my adult responsibility to have the courage to ask. I’m not saying this is easy. I am also not saying that by gathering all my courage and voicing the thing that I need that I have any guarantee of getting it. I do believe that until I ask, I cannot expect other living being to guess my desire.
So there it is …. clarity of transaction in work and play. That could save some flippin energy!
